How Should I Exchange the Car Tyres' Positions?

In general, the weight of the automobile body is not evenly spread on the four tyres. Therefore, exchanging the car tyres' positions regularly is helpful to ensure their even wear so as to increase of service life. We should exchange tyres' positions according to vehicle's manual. If there is no specific instructions on the time limit of exchanging tyres’ position, for front-wheel-drive vehicles, we usually exchange tyres' position when the vehicle runs 8,000km; for four-wheel-drive vehicles, we usually exchange tyres’ position when the vehicle runs 6,000km. It is the most important the first time exchanging tyres’ position, so inflation pressure when exchanging tyres' position must be conform to China tyre suppliers' advice.

1. Rear-wheel-drive vehicles: change the left front to right rear, right front to left rear, left rear to left front, right rear to right front.

2. Front-wheel-drive vehicles: change left rear to right front, right rear to left front, left front to left rear, right front to right rear.

3. The way exchanging tyres' positions of single oriented tyres is different. The front and rear tyres should be switched straightly and the left and right tyres should not be exchanged crossly.

4. four-wheel-drive vehicles: change the front, rear, left and right tyres crossly, that is, left front to right rear, right front to left rear, left rear to right front, right rear to left front.

5. If the spare tyre is of the same specifications, we can use it to replace the right rear one, exchange the left front one and the left rear one, and then place the spare tyre to right front, the right front one to right rear.
