What are the design features of light truck tyres?

Compared with car tyres, the thread patterns of light truck tyres are much coarser. So the light truck tyres are suitable for any weather and road conditions, whether highway or cross-country condition. 

In the rain or mud, the open self-cleaning thread patterns of all-terrain tyres provide excellent traction and their jagged edges can tightly grasp rocks and rough terrains. For all-season tyres, their coarse thread patterns are helpful to drain away water, snow and sludge. This design takes both the traction on wet and snow-covered road and the performance on the dry road into consideration at the same time. Therefore, light truck tyres have a little longer service life than car tyres.
